Andrey Zvyagintsev
Andrey Zvyagintsev was born in Novosibirsk, Siberia. In 1990 graduated from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts, Moscow (Evgeny Lazarev’s course). As an actor he participated in such independent stage projects as “Hopscotch” (1993), “Month in a Village” (1997). Worked as an actor for film and TV-series. In 2000 he began to work for the TV station REN TV and directed several short fiction episodes “Bushido”, “Obscure” and “Choice” of the television series The Black Room.
In 2003 he directed his first feature film The Return which was selected for the main competition at the Venice International Film Festival. This film was a debut for most of the film crew but it received the “Golden Lion” award and “Future Golden Lion” award for the director’s debut with the statement “a delicate film about love, losing and growing-up”. His second feature film The Banishment premiered at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and was awarded for the Best Actor in a Leading Role. |

Svetlana Kryuchkova

In 1973 Svetlana graduated from the Acting Studio, and was an actress at Moscow Art Theatre for two seasons. Worked with such directors as V.Ya. Stanitsyn, A.Efros, R.Viktuk, A,Vasiliev, O. Efremov. Since 1975 Kryuchkova has been a permanent member of the troupe of Bolshoy Drama Theatre (BDT) in St. Petersburg named after G.A. Tovstonogov. Her stage performances in BDT were the role of Ranevskaya in “The Cherry Orchard”, the role of Mamasha Kurazh in “Mamasha Kurazh and her children”, the role of Vassa Zheleznova in the theatrical presentation of the play by M.Gorky, etc. Holder of numerous Russian professional awards for her works in cinema and theatre. Winner of the Petropol award and poetical award named after A.Volodin. In 2009 was awarded by a Medal named after A.Pushkin for “ huge contribution to progress and development of Russian literature”. Worked as an actress in more than 80 films: “Starshy syn”, “Zhenitba”, “Tsarskaya ohota” (Tsar Huntng) by director V.Melnikov; “Rodnya”, “Utomlyonnye solntsem” (Burnt by the Sun) by director N.Mikhalkov; “Stariye klyachi” (Old Nag) by director E.Ryazanov, etc. |
Sergey Snezhkin

Graduated from the Russian Federation State Institute of Cinematography, department of Film Directing, E.Dzigan’s course. Since 1981 works at Lenfilm Studios as a film director. Since 1991 he is an art director of Barmaley studio. |
Sergey Sholokhov

Since 1991 — “Tikhy Dom” (VGTRK; since 1998 — ÎRÒ), "Tikhaya Dama” (1996, “Petersburg — 5 channel”), since 1998 — “ Tikhy vecher” (ÒRÊ “Peresburg”) and since 2007 -2008 SÒÎ TV channel. His auteur programs are about world cinema tendencies, history of filmmaking, about life and work of people who are involved in the field of cinematography. |
Sergey Astakhov
Cameraman. Sergey Astakhov was born November, 8, 1953 in a village Seliszhi, Mordovskaya SSR. In 1980 he graduated from Russian State Institute of Cinematography (camera department), workshop of L.Kosmatov, N. Vasilkov. Since 1982 photography director at the “Lenfilm” Studios. Also he constructs and distributes studio equipment. The recipient of numerous Prizes, including:

Krzysztof Zanussi
Born June 17th 1939 in Warsaw. From 1955 to 1959 studied physics at Warsaw University and attended lectures on cinema at the Institute of Art at the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw (1956-57). In 1959 he enrolled at the Department of Philosophy at the Jagiellonian University of Cracow. In 1960 he joined the film direction department at the Lodz Film School (grad.1966). Made his first films in Amateur Film Club of Warsaw University in the 50-ies. Since 1966 he has directed many documentaries, features for cinema and TV, in Poland and abroad. He writes or co-writes scripts for his own films (some of them were published in 4 volumes in Poland and in 2 volumes in Italy also in Germany, Russia and Hungary). Since 1978 also stage and opera director. From 1974 to 1981 Vice – Chairman of the Polish Film-makers Association. From 1979 chief manager/director of “TOR” Film Unit (now “TOR” Film Studio), in frames of which he has produced a great number of important films, among them the work of his friend, the late Krzysztof Kieslowski. (in 1993-94 co-produced his trilogy “Three Coulours: Blue. White. Red). Has served as President of FERA (Federation Europeenne des Realisateurs de l’Audiovisuel) and Eurovisioni. Since 1992 professor of Silesian University in Katowice. Member of Polish PEN-Club. Doctor Honoris Causa of WGIK Moscow, The National University of Drama and Cinematography „I.L. Caragiale” (Bucarest), European Humanities University (Minsk), Bulgarian University (Sophia), University of Film and Television (Sankt Petersburg), Catholic University of Lublin. |
Alexander Sokurov

Alexander Nikolayevich Sokurov was born in 1951, in Podorvikha, Irkutsk Region. After finishing his studies in the History Department of the Nizhny Novgorod University he graduated from VGIK(À.Zguridi workshop) in 1975. Since 1980 A. Sokurov has been working at “Lenfilm” studios as well as he collaborate with Saint-Petersburg Documentary Film Studio, where his documentaries were shot at different times. In 1995 by the decision of European Academy the name of Alexander Sokurov was included in the list of hundred best directors in the whole world. The retrospectives of his films are regularly screened in different countries. Sokurov has collected numerous awards at the number of International Film Festivals around the world, such as “Golden Ram” and “Nika” for his film “Taurus” (2001); “Freedom” Awards named after Andrzej Wajda, International Film Festival, Berlin (2003); “TEFY” Awards for his “Elegy of a life: Rostropovich, Vishnevskaya” (2007); Award named after Rober Bresson “For spiritual searching in cinematography”, International Film Festival, Venice (2007); Grand-Prix for “Alexandra ”, International Film Festival, Trondheim, etc. |
Sergey Loznitsa
Sergey Loznitsa was born September 5th, 1964 in the city of Baranovitchi, in Belarus. In 1987 Sergey graduated from Kiev Polytechnic Institute with a degree in engineering and applied mathematics.Later Sergey was employed as a scientist at the Glushkov Institute of Cybernetics (Kiev). In 1997 Sergey graduated with honors with the major in movie production and direction from VGIK (Russian State Institute of Cinematography). He studied in the studio of N. Dzhordzhadze and A. Sirenko From 2000 he produces works in the Studio of Documentary Films in St.Petersburg. His works were awarded at numerous International Film Festivals. |

Sergey Chliyants was born in 1961 in Odessa where he graduated from Institute for Construction and civil Engineering. From 1995 to 1997 he was working as an acting director and a general producer in the Gorky film studio. In the period of 1996-1997 he was working as a co-producer in the project “Low-budged cinema”. During the years of 1997-1999 he was working as a general director of Production group “Souzkino” Ltd. Since 2001 he has been working as a general producer of the film company “Pigmalion Production”. Since 2008 founder of “New Cinema Studios” company (included “New Cinema Marketing” and “New Cinema Distribution”). |
