Watersprite is the Cambridge International Student Film Festival (previously known as Cam*Era). We are now preparing for our third edition, to take place in February 2012 and details of submissions and speakers will be on our websites this summer/autumn. Please sign up to our mailing list here for further details: www.watersprite.org.uk/#Register
Between 11-13 March 2011 we held our second edition, and it was a great success thanks to our wonderful filmmakers, sponsors, speakers and team! Our awards ceremony was hosted by the actor Tom Hollander and we were delighted to present 10 awards to some truly amazing student films. The winners can be found on our website (www.watersprite.org). Presenters included Bill Nighy (Pirates of the Caribbean, Love Actually, Harry Potter, Underworld), Kevin Macdonald, director (Last King of Scotland, Touching the Void, Life in a Day) and Joe Walker, editor (Life in a Day, Hunger, Brighton Rock). The festival included screenings, talks, the awards ceremony and socializing/networking events.
We're aiming to continue to grow the festival in 2012 so sign up for news now!
Love, Watersprite x
