The 8th edition of East Silver, a documentary market specialized in Eastern and Central European documentary is now open for submissions! Submit your film to the biggest internationally recognized database of creative feature and television documentary films from Central and Eastern Europe.
East Silver Market 2011 – Call for completed documentaries produced 2010 – 2011, English subtitled or with English voiceover, with trailer.
For our East Silver Project market we are also looking for projects in postproduction/rough-cut stage which are ready to be presented to world sales agents/festival selectors in October 2011.
Submission is also valid for 15th Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival programme preselection and Doc Alliance Films preselection.

Each year, about 350 films from more than 29 countries submit to the project and are considered for the market. East Silver is organized in cooperation with the Institute of Documentary Film and takes place at Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival.

We aim to widen the chances for TV broadcast of documentary films from our region. Gaining substantial knowledge of broadcaster’s slots and also current programming needs, we individually select and recommend particular documentaries directly to the international TV buyers and networks.

East Silver Caravan promotes East European documentary films at important international film festivals and markets. Travelling showcase of Eastern European documentary can be encountered at the over 60 prestigious international film festivals and markets.
Silver Eye Award 2011
Silver Eye is an award for the best documentary of the East Silver Market 2011 nominated from East Silver Market submissions 2011. 11 films nominated in each category (feature, mid and short length). International jury selects best films in every category. All winners will be awarded by prize money of EUR 1 500.
