In 1997 graduated from Scenario-Director Department, film school-studio "Kadr" at Lenfilm Studios (A. Aleksandrov’s workshop).

In 2004 graduated from St. Petersburg State Cinema & TV University (I. Maslennikov and N. Koshelev’s workshop).

Antonov’s films are awarded on Russian and International Film Festivals.

The prize for debut of the president of the XIII Film Festival "Window to Europe" in Vyborg, 2005. Grand Prix for the best first film "Iris of Tomorrow" on the I New International Montreal Film Festival and he has a Diploma of XXXV Film Festival "Molodost", Kiev.
